The NCC's International Competitive Cheer Camps also got a boost, when the COA (www.coacheer.com) confirmed no less than four of their US national instructors to be arriving next month. NCC International Head Instructor and COA Director Joe Jackson will be returning for a fourth tour of duty. Also returning for the 2009 Season will be COA National Technical Judge Elizabeth Kane. Together with Jackson, Kane conducted the 2008 NCC International Camp, which saw over 300 participants flock to the CCP Bobcats campus in Sta. Mesa.Jackson and Kane will be bolstered by COA instructors, and NCC newcomers Britain Bickel and Mike Burns.

Bickel and Burns will be conducting both the 2009 International Camp and the 2009 All-girls' Camp. They hope to bring new techniques, skills, and discuss new trends, rules and regulations with the participants, as well as interact with the cheer community in the Philippines.

The American coaches will also be conducting a coaches' clinic especially for those current instructors and coaches, as well as former cheerleaders wishing to establish cheer squads in their respective schools.

Jackson and Kane, together with the NCC expert instructors will be judging the NCR qualifiers and Finals, as well as facilitating the 2009 Camps.

The National Cheerleading Championship is the country's first and only competitive cheerleading tournament that employs international rules and regulations. It features internationally-recognized judges and instructors from different colleges and universities in and around the Philippines.
